Care Guide - Fins, Kickboards & Hand Paddles

Look after your training aids and they will last longer and stay safer to use in the pool.

Rinse after every swim

Rinse fins, kickboards and paddles in cool, fresh water to remove chlorine, salt and pool chemicals. Do not leave residue on the gear to dry.

Dry thoroughly

Let everything air dry fully before packing it away. Avoid radiators, tumble dryers and direct sunlight, as heat can warp or weaken foam and plastic.

Check for wear

Look regularly for cracks, splits, soft spots or sharp edges. Damaged fins or paddles can affect technique and safety, so replace them if they are compromised.

Store carefully

Keep them in a cool, dry place out of the sun. Do not stack heavy items on soft foam boards, and keep pieces separate so they do not stick together or mark each other.
