Care Guide - Hard Goods
Use this general guidance for swimming accessories that do not have a more specific care guide. Following these simple habits will help keep your gear in better condition for longer.
Keep it out of direct sunlight
Prolonged sun exposure can fade colours and weaken materials. Store gear in a cool, shaded place when not in use.
Avoid extreme temperatures
High heat can warp or soften some materials, while freezing conditions can make them brittle. Store accessories away from radiators, hot cars and freezing environments where possible.
Inspect regularly
Check for cracks, tears, sharp edges, loose parts or other signs of wear. Replace damaged items promptly so they remain safe and usable.
Clean after each use
Rinse with clean, cool water to remove chlorine, salt and other chemicals. Where needed, use a mild soap or a cleaner suitable for the product, then allow it to air dry fully before storing.
Store properly
Keep gear in a dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid damp bags or humid storage, which can encourage mould and mildew. A mesh bag or dedicated organiser can help keep items separate and protected.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions
Always check any product-specific care advice on the packaging or label, as individual items may need different cleaning, drying or storage methods.
